Description

The programme aims to support the Government of Uganda (GoU) efforts in strengthening the fight against corruption. The implementation is framed within Uganda¿s Poverty Eradication Action Plan. The programme follows the principles of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness and is intended as complementary to planned and existing government and development partner initiatives. The overall development objective is ¿to enhance accountability and reduce corruption in the administration of public duty and service delivery in Uganda¿. The immediate objective is ¿to build the capacity of anti-corruption agencies and non state actors to effectively engage in fighting corruption¿. (The objectives are harmonized with those supported by DFID.)
